The network is dispersed which requires no base station (Router).Using the Windows Vista Network Setup, devices such as PSP, Laptops, and other portable gaming consoles can search, share and link each other within range without using a router or a hub.To create an Ad Hoc network between two Windows Vista computers, notebooks or laptops, follow these steps:

One Response to “How To: Create A Quick Ad Hoc Wireless Network Connection Between Two Windows Vista Computers”

  1. Bobby Quach says:

    Hello,

Thanks for the instruction of quickly creating a wireless ad-hoc. I did follow the instruction but there was problems appearing:

1- After properly performing as following steps: Open Network and Sharing Center –> Click to Set Up a Connection or Network –> Click to Set Up a Wireless Ad-hoc –> Click Next button –> add SSID name like Bob, use WPA2-Personal, type Passphrase like 123456789 then –> click Next button –> a window appears and says Bob connection is ready to use but missing the command tag to allow “Turn On Internet Sharing Connection”??? I have no idea because I used to be successful in creating this Internet Sharing Connection before and the command tag of “Turn On Internet Sharing Connection” was showed properly but it’s unexplainably disappeared now.

2- Please help as your expertise… Thank you very much!
