Key features of Google plus project

I hope you might have already heard the buzz in social media. Google launched its new social sharing project called Google+ You can read more about it – here

In this article I am taking you through some key features of Google+ that differs it from just another Facebook.

#1 – Circles

If you are a hardcore Facebook user, you may have already experienced a problem with its sharing feature. You either have to share it with every one, or with friends and friends of friends or with friends only. Only 3 options available – or else you cant share it at all. “Circles” of Google+ solves this problem of selective sharing. Say if you are a male and want to share a video for “males only” – you dont want your female friends to see this video! You can create a circle of your “male” friends alone and share selectively. Similarly you can create many circles like family, office, boss, hobby friends, hangout friends etc etc. You can customize your circles as per your creativity, ideas and needs.

#2 – Hangouts

The first social sharing of unplanned events. Suppose that you met an old friend accidentally and decided to hangout. Now you can publicly share your hangout and invite your mutual friends to join if they are free This is unique and an innovative idea by Google+ and it makes real interest inside me. Similarly you can have planned hangouts and share it with circles.

#3 – Instant upload

What if a photo can be uploaded at the instant you take it? And that’s what instant upload of Google+ is all about. You dont need to take the pain of uploading a photo and then sharing it later with all friends. Instant upload will take care of uploading automatically.

Note: Uploading is done to a private album in Google+ You can decide whether to share or not!

#4 – Sparks

Sparks is the “fun” side of it or the “entertainment” side of Google+ You can add interests by searching inside sparks. It works just like a Google search engine. You will get live and updated information and buzz about any interested topic of yours. As they say there’s always something cool to read,write or share.

#5 – Huddle

Its a group texting feature. As they say on demo tour, what if you are trying to text 6 people for a hangout or a movie? Huddle gets every one as a circle and unites them to a message page – just like a group chat. And texting becomes really easy with a message archive saved for future reference.

These are the key features defined by Google at the initial stage of Google+ As they say on demo page, Google+ project has just begun which hints there is more to come. It seems they already have a set of cool features to make possible migration from Facebook to Google+ It’s a technologically advanced platform. And for more they have centered their new project over “social sharing” rather than “social networking” platform. This makes Google+ a unique project rather than a just another “social network”.
