Really useful Firefox extensions and add ons

In my previous post I told you that we are in a world of browser wars. We have a number of choices ranging from Internet explorer, Opera, Firefox to latest Google chrome. In this article we will check out some really useful extensions/add-ons for Mozilla firefox:

1. Cybersearch - A customisable search functionality for your mozilla browser. You can select your preferred search engine, customise your search to a specific website or a group of websites, files etc. A really useful extension for fast web search with out really going to the main page of any browser.

2. Adblock - A useful plugin to block advertisements and load web pages faster. This plugin can also save you bandwidth. I dont really use this plugin because it kills the total web experience. This is a new age web its really cool to hang around with websites. And why should I fear about bandwidth if I am using an unlimited connection

3. Screengrab - Ahh! Here comes your screen shot grabber. You dont need to use “print screen” button – then paste it in paint and reshape – resize and then save it! You can easily do this with screengrab plugin. It automatically saves a copy of the web page for you, A really simple and fast plugin. You can adjust your screen selection like rectangular, square etc.

4. Shareholic - Here comes a handy plugin for the social animal. If you are some one who is active in Facebook, Twitter, Delicious, Reddit, Digg etc. you can share to almost all medias in one click. Its a wonderful plugin to share links with your friends network.

5. Autocopy – Pressing Ctrl+c is not a harwork! But still if you need to copy multiple paragraphs and pages – this plugin can come handy. You just need to select any sentence or lines of sentences. The selection as a whole will get copied automatically to clipboard. And you just need to paste now.

6. Dictionary search - Get the definition of a new unknown word without even leaving the page. You just need to use this add on and highlight the word. Definition will be displayed instantly.

7. Webmail Notifier – If you are in the habit of responding emails promptly – here comes a useful plugin. You dont need to check your email often to do this. Just use this plugin. It will notify you of a new email in any of your email accounts. It can be personal or business related or profession related. Only thing is your web mail clients should be supported by the add-on.

8. Toodledo - An easy to use “To Do” list manager. To Do lists are important in any ones life. Life is a set of goals that has to be achieved. You can keep track of your goals with this simple To Do list manager add-on of firefox.

9. TimeTracker – Keep track of your browsing time. A useful plugin for internet cafes.

10. Twitter Fox - Keep track of your Twitter freinds activity. Read and share.
